29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1): The employer did not develop, implement, and/or maintain at the workplace a written hazard communication program which describes how the criteria specified in 29 CFR 1910.1200(f), (g), and (h) will be met: (Construction Reference: 1926.59) At the job site located at 106 South Oak St. Pratt, Kansas, employees engaged in roofing activities were exposed to chemical hazards in that a written hazard communication program had not been developed, implemented and maintained at the job site. Employees were handling TAMKO Titan XT architectural asphalt/fiberglass shingles, Mule-Hide Products SEBS 1 multipurpose sealant and gasoline. The chemical hazards associated with these chemicals include: skin, eye and respiratory irritation, redness, itching and/or burning, may cause an allergic skin reaction, central nervous system, kidney and/or liver damage, drowsiness and/or dizziness, may cause cancer and may be fatal if swallowed and enters airways.
