29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1): The employer did not develop, implement, and/or maintain at the workplace a written hazard communication program which describes how the criteria specified in 29 CFR 1910.1200(f), (g), and (h) will be met: (Construction Reference: 1926.59) At the job site located at 3580 East Hollandale St. Derby, Kansas, employees engaged in residential roofing activities were exposed to chemical hazards in that a written hazard communication program had not been developed, implemented and maintained at the job site. Employees were utilizing Mule-Hide Products SEBS-1 multipurpose sealant and gasoline. The chemical hazards associated with these chemicals include: skin, eye and respiratory irritation, redness, itching and burning, central nervous system damage, drowsiness and/or dizziness, is suspected of causing cancer and may be fatal if swallowed and enters airways. A & R Roofing & Siding was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.1200(e)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1810136, citation number 1, item number 1a and was affirmed as a final order on 06-11-2025, with respect to a workplace located at 2832 S Maize Ct, Wichita, KS 67215.

29 CFR 1910.1200(g)(8): The employer did not maintain in the workplace copies of the required safety data sheets for each hazardous chemical: (Construction Reference: 1926.59) At the job site located at 3580 East Hollandale St. Derby, Kansas, employees engaged in residential roofing activities were exposed to chemical hazards in that they were not provided access to the Safety Data Sheets for Mule-Hide Products SEBS-1 multipurpose sealant and gasoline at the job site. The chemical hazards associated with these chemicals include: skin, eye and respiratory irritation, redness, itching and burning, central nervous system damage, drowsiness and/or dizziness, is suspected of causing cancer and may be fatal if swallowed and enters airways. Additionally, Mule-Hide Products SEBS-1 multipurpose sealant and gasoline, can both act as fueling agents due to their extreme flammability as a liquid and vapor. A & R Roofing & Siding was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.1200(g)(8), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1810136, citation number 1, item number 1b and was affirmed as a final order on 06-11-2025, with respect to a workplace located at 2832 S Maize Ct, Wichita, KS 67215.
