29 CFR 1910.213(c)(1): Each circular hand-fed ripsaw was not guarded by a hood which completely enclosed that portion of the saw above the table and that portion of the saw above the material being cut: Carpenter shop: On or about May 14, 2025, and at times prior thereto, a Hitachi Koki (C10FL) 10-inch Table Saw was not provided with a hood which completely enclosed that portion of the saw above the table and that portion of the saw above the material being cut. Employees were exposed to severe lacerations and the possibility of amputation.

29 CFR 1910.215(a)(4): Work rest(s) on grinding machinery were not adjusted closely to the wheel with a maximum opening of one eighth inch: Welding Shop: On or about May 14, 2025, and at times prior thereto, Employees used an abrasive wheel bench grinder (Porter Cable Serial No. 023895) that was missing a work rest on its left side and the right side work rest was not adjusted to 1/8th of an inch. The right side measured about one inch from the abrasive wheel. Employees were exposed to face and body injuries.

The tongue guard opening measured one inch. Employees were exposed to face and body injuries

The USDA Forest Service was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.157(e)(3), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1469479, citation number 02, item number 01, and was affirmed as a final order on 05/26/2020, with respect to a workplace located at Mi-Wok Ranger District24695 Hwy 108, Mi Wuk Village, CA 95346
