1910.132(f)(1)(i) The employer did not provide training to each employee who is required by this section to use PPE on knowing when PPE is necessary: a) On or about July 5, 2025, an employee replacing three fuses (200 Amp), for the Glycol Engine (100 Horse Power), inside the Glycol Engine Room received electrical burns when the employee was exposed to an arc flash; the employer did not ensure each employee utilized appropriate electrical protective equipment to include but not limited to insulated gloves, face shields, and flame-resistant clothing for protect against an arc flash while working on a live electrical circuit. The employer did not provide training on when PPE is necessary.
