OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1):The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees exposed to being struck by the load while operating an overhead crane.  a) On or about August 07, 2025, the employer failed to ensure employees were protected from struck-by hazards during overhead crane operations. Employees operating the Harnischfeger - P&H 25-ton overhead crane (Serial No. C14613, Model TRDG) were permitted to remain in close proximity to suspended steel plates while unloading materials from delivery trucks. On this date, a suspended plate weighing approximately 11,700 lbs contacted stored material and swung uncontrolled, striking an employee who sustained a serious injury.
