29 CFR 1910.134(h)(4)(i): Repairs or adjustments to respirators were not made using the respirator manufacturer's NIOSH-approved parts designed for that respirator: (a) Powder Coating; On or about August 20, 2025, adjustments to the Powered Air Purifying Respirators (PAPR) were not made per manufacturer and NIOSH specifications. The 3M Versaflo M-300 Helmet Hood and the Bullard EVAHL1 Series (blower and filter) were utilized together as a unit. The manufacturer and NIOSH specifications indicate mixing of manufacturer parts would nullify the assigned protection factor of the respirator.
