Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to head and body injuries from overhead falling loads: a) Roof Assembly Jig Area - Employees were working under a 12 foot by 60 foot roof assembly suspended 12 feet above the roof assembly jig by hoist. One feasible and acceptable method of abatement is to move the roof assembly to an area not over employees.
