The injured employee was helping the apprentice install 6 inch rigid conduit. The injured worker was installing the conduit while the apprentice held the pipe. The conduit slipped out of the apprentice's hands and struck the injured worker's left hand injuring his finger. The finger was not amputated, but required surgery to repair.
