At 10:00 a.m. on January 6, 2021, an employee was descending an aircraft's boarding ladder when his foot got caught on the bottom rung. He fell backward onto the concrete floor about 2.5 to 3 feet below. The back of his head struck the floor, and he suffered an abrasion and brain swelling.
