An employee was preparing a large U-shaped component (bull wheel brake) for painting. The component was positioned on two steel saw horses. The employee was chocking the component when it shifted and pivoted down quickly, pinching their left little finger between the saw horse and the component and resulting in the amputation of the finger to the nail bed.
