At approximately 11:00 AM, an employee was performing maintenance on a halfpipe during a skiing event. They were smoothing out snow while on skis by side-slipping snow on the floor of the halfpipe. The downhill edge of their ski got caught in the snow and they fell, resulting in a lacerated spleen.
