An employee was clearing a large log that was jammed between the feed wheels and chipping blades of a chipper. The wheels were stationary when he used a chipper jack to lift the feed wheels. He then went to dislodge the log and the log shifted, pinching his right middle and ring fingers and lacerating both fingers to the bone, just behind the fingernail.
