Before the incident
Attempting to adjust the tension on an overhead door spring. Technician was loosening the cable spindle to get the cable some more slack so the door would go down evenly. The vice grips were put on the bar to stop it from spinning came loose and flew off of the bar hitting the top of worker 's head and leading to blood and slight confusion.
What happened
While loosening the set screws the tension from the springs caused the vice grips to come free and strike the top of the technician 's head.

The injury was a knot and small cut causing the head to bleed and swell.
