What happened
On [REDACTED] around [REDACTED] a material handler was stacking plate material onto a mobile cart. The material handler went to stack an estimated 40 lb plate when his left middle finger tip became pinched between the plate he was placing and the plate already on the cart. This caused a laceration of the fingertip. The employee was taken to a local clinic for evaluation. Evaluation - X-ray revealed a fracture to the finger tip. Sutures were also needed to close the laceration.
