On [REDACTED] at roughly [REDACTED] an temporary employee employed through Employ Bridge suffered a laceration to the left palm between the thumb and index finger. The wound did not include connective tissue. The laceration occurred while offloading parts on Transfer Press 1 (T1). The employee reported to the EHS Manager’s office where the first aid was administered. The employee accepted the offer to seek medical attention. The physician treated the wound and administered 4 stitches. The laceration occurred despite the employee utilizing the appropriate cut resistant PPE. The A4 cut resistant glove failed to protect the employee from the steel bur on the edge of the part. The employee’s assignment was terminated due to failing a post-incident drug screen.
