What happened
Employee suffered 3” vertical laceration of the left wrist requiring 6 stitches administered by First Choice Health. Employee was utilizing cut resistant sleeves but was not wearing them properly. The employee was not utilizing the thumb hole which left a portion of the wrist exposed. The cut end of a length of banding struck the exposed area resulting in the laceration. First aid was administered on site to stop bleeding and the employee reported to First Choice for treatment. The employee was permitted to return to work with the restriction of not lifting more than 10 lbs. with the left arm.
