Before the incident
Fixing the automation line. The stockyard gripper arm that disposes of expired specimens was stuck.
What happened
I reached through the chute where old blood specimens are disposed of to push the gripper arm past its jam. Once it had gotten past its jam it moved back to its home position catching my hand in the process and cutting my finger.
