What happened
While removing port cath huber needle pt flinched and left hand that was stabilizing port I thought it grazed my skin I removed gloved and saw scant amount of blood. Immediately after I washed with soap no additional blood was noted. Pt was had been discharged and left. Caregiver notified charge nurse.
