What happened

Associate was picking a chassis up from a third-party vendor MHC in [REDACTED] where the rear axle had been moved back to lengthen the [REDACTED]. While travelling north on [REDACTED] from [REDACTED] to [REDACTED] the driveshaft came disconnected and sent the chassis into a spin. The rear tire contacted the guard rail the chassis spun at least 180 degrees. The chassis came to a stop in the left lane facing the wrong direction. No other vehicles were involved. A trailing Altec vehicle parked behind the wrecked chassis with flashers on to assist with traffic control and check on the driver. The driver was shaken up but refused medical care and insisted that he was fine. Over the [REDACTED] he reported stiffness in his back primarily the lower left side. However he felt that ibuprofen a heat pack and light stretching was improving his condition and that further care was not needed.

Sore back from tensing up during the wreck. Associate performed first aid at home. This event became recordable on 1 14 26 when the associate was prescribed a muscle relaxer for pain relief.
