Operator smashed left pinky finger while removing or (chipping a shot) a unacceptable pitch after casting. Teammate was using a 3 lb hammer and a chisel to remove bad part. As he was hitting the chisel with the hammer he missed the chisel and struck his left pinky finger with the hammer.
