What happened

On [REDACTED] at approximately [REDACTED] Outfitter [REDACTED] working as Equipment Operator was involved in an incident that occurred at [REDACTED]. The incident took place while the outfitter was pulling a product. According to initial reports the incident involved a pallet sitting on top of the product to be pulled sliding off and crushing the Outfitter left pinky finger between the pallet and the racking. As a result of the incident the outfitter sustained an avulsion to the right pinky finger. Response at approximately [REDACTED] included first aid to clean the wound and bandage the finger. The CorVel triage nurse was contacted for further evaluation of the injury. The nurse recommended an online consult with a physician which occurred at [REDACTED]. The physician referred the Outfitter for an X-ray and further evaluation. The physician verbally gave the Outfitter a restriction of no heavy gripping.
