Before the incident
The employee was lying on the floor attempting to bolt up an 1 [REDACTED] flange while suited out in level B chemical suit rubber boots chemical gloves and fresh air. Using 114 combination wrenches.
What happened
A two man crew were installing a spool piece back onto an [REDACTED]. The employees were suited out in chemical suits B with halo supplied air respirator HF gloves with glove rings tapped and rubber boots. During the installation one employee experienced an irritation to the right side of the neck. The employee was removed from their PPE and went to safety showers to wash off. Operations was notified and calcium gluconate was applied.
