The employee was running the Mazak CNC lathe to make 4”X3” Collar parts for other departments.

The employee just finished and removed a 4”X3” collar from the Mazak Lathe. The employee noticed a piece of scrap metal stuck in the Tooling Turret of the lathe and without thinking about it he reached for the scrap metal with his right hand and tried to pull it out of the turret. In the process of him pulling the scrap metal was hung up causing the material to slide out of his hand resulting in a laceration to his index finger.
