Before the incident
Moving a empty pallet
What happened
EE was working in the de-case area at the start of their shift. The EE moved a pallet out of the area by sliding on its side before lying it down on top of another pallet that was already staged on the ground. The pallets weren 't aligned so the EE bent over and grabbed the side of the pallet with both hands to push it forward. When the EE removed their hands from the pallet their right thumb caught a stable that was protruding from the pallet. The staple caused a laceration on the right thumb.
