What happened

Working in PODS packing (POD group 3 [REDACTED]) and placing items into oversize box on the floor. Once all items were placed inside the athlete lifted the box by the flap with right hand approximately 6 inches and placed left hand underneath supporting the weight of the box. They then used the right hand and slide it under the box to lift the box. The athlete stated that they felt a pop while still carrying the box. They then took a step forward carrying the box extended their arms to place it on the conveyor. They continued working and felt their arm go numb then left for the day to urgent care and called the HR hotline in route to medical facility. Urgent Care issued restrictions we can accommodate and multiple Rx making this an OSHA recordable event.
