What happened

At [REDACTED] an athlete partnered with the supervisor and stated that they were experiencing discomfort in their left shoulder. The athlete was asked to go to the breakroom and rest. During the conversation in the breakroom the athlete expressed they had hit a milestone in productivity the night before and started feeling pain then. They expressed they had been using primarily their left hand throughout the entire process. It is likely this repetitive motion with the same arm caused the discomfort in their shoulder. The athlete was coached on ensuring they use both hands when processing the auto bagger scan with left hand place item in bag with right hand. Additionally the athlete expressed it was strenuous to press the pack complete button on each process due to the button being overhead. We have turned the screen vertically to allow the pack complete button to be closer to the athlete 's range of motion. The athlete was given ibuprofen and returned to work.
