What happened
Injured employee was manually rotating the mixer pan to reach areas for washing. He was holding on to an opening in the mixer pan with his thumb cupping the opening. The inner scraper for the mixer pan closed the gap as he manually rotated the pan causing his thumb to become pinched and lacerated between the scraper and the mixer pan opening.
