Employee was standing using his foot to stabilize the mudsill and jack.

Five Turner scaffold crew members were permitted to build an 80 x 2 x 18 scaffold inside furnace 4 of the 200 unit. As the team completed the first bay of the scaffold they proceeded to start erection on the second level. After installing two 8ft runners on the second level continued with the framing stabilizing the mudsill and jack the affected employee along with another crew member attempted to stab a 10ft scaffold leg. The scaffold leg came in contact with the furnace wall causing a piece of refractory brick estimated to weigh 25lb to fall approximately 56ft striking the affected employee on his back.
