What happened
On [REDACTED] employee was carrying [REDACTED] [REDACTED]. At approximately [REDACTED] he was approaching a mailbox on one of the apartments at [REDACTED] 45 in the [REDACTED] Homes housing apartments. As [REDACTED] approached the mail box he had to step around children 's items and toys that were lying on the ground. He then proceeded to walk up the stairs of the apartment and place the mail in the mailbox as he came down the steps when he stepped of the last step he twisted his left ankle when he stepped on 3 matchbox cars he did not see on the ground. This also caused the carrier to scrape his shin knee area on a flowerpot sitting on the side of the steps. The carrier said they reported to the supervisor which will be reported when we have a chance to get his information
