What happened
Crew had previously removed damaged and soft metal that had previously tore in to two pieces in furnace when furnace edge guide stopped working. Strip had already been prepped through furnace to splice. Crew was stringing banding through exit section to pull back wider strip in machine to splice together to allow set up for production. Crew was looking for a hook to fish looped banding out of tank. Associate walked in to hanging strip that had previously been prepped for splicing while looking for hook.
