Welding lift lug onto I-beam
What happened
Employee was welding lift lugs onto an I-beam for a load frame which was sitting on saw horses. Once one side was complete, the employee and another team member decided to flip the I-beam over manually. Upon flipping, the beam rolled past the saw horse width it was resting on and landed on employee's foot. Two team members working with employee then helped to pick the beam up off of employee's foot. When asked if he was ok, employee stated he was unsure of the severity of the injury and that he was going to try to "walk it off". After 5-10 minutes employee stated that he believed his foot was broken but was apprehensive about going to get it checked out, eventually he was driven to Shans
