What happened
Employee was cleaning edge of the base plate when the grinder caught and kicked. The edge of the grinding disk cut his middle finger knuckle on his left hand. Employee was not wearing protective gloves. He states this was a lapse in judgement. Employee applied pressure on cut using a towel. Employee drove himself to Essentia Health ER in [REDACTED] and got stitches.
