The worker was working in the assembly chassis prep area on a truck and was drilling holes in a chassis frame.

The worker used a compressed air gun to blow debris from the hole that was being drilled in the chassis frame. As the worker was cleaning the debris this caused debris to fly up and it flew under the safety glasses of the worker causing a metal shaving to lodge under the right eyelid.

The worker got a metal shaving lodged in the right eyelid. The worker was taken to try to dislodge it with an eyewash solution but it could not be removed. The worker was taken to Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital where the metal shaving was removed. The diagnosis was a foreign body eye right initial encounter.
