Before the incident
On [REDACTED] at approximately [REDACTED] I safety and security officer [REDACTED] documented an employee injury report for Marriott Housekeeper [REDACTED]. [REDACTED] came to the security office to advise that her right thumb has been punctured from a safety pin from room 751. [REDACTED] explained that while cleaning the room she mopped the trash towards the entrance floor mat. [REDACTED] then picked up the larger pieces of trash using a cupping motion with her hands. Upon lifting her hands she felt a sharp prick into her left right thumb. Apparently an open safety pin had punctured through her glove and right into her right thumb causing a burst of blood to spill out. [REDACTED] immediately then notified housekeeping manager [REDACTED] directed her to security to report her injury. [REDACTED] did state that she wished to seek medical attention.
