Before the incident
[REDACTED] had just swapped out tooling from the Parpas CNC Mill. He was taking the recently removed tooling (surface cutter) back to the holder located at the rear of the machine.
What happened
[REDACTED] had to step across the pit opening from the machine to the concrete landing. As he stepped over only half of his foot made it to the concrete ledge which allowed his foot to slip causing him to fall into the pit. As he fell the surface cutter came out of his hand and struck his left forearm causing a deep laceration. The laceration required 3 sutures. He also had a swollen left ankle and some minor scratches on both knees.
