Employee had just finished running the last start up batch through the mill and was getting ready to take a break.

After running the last start up batch into the batchoff cooler employee took his Kevlar gloves off at the mill. He went back to the dosing area and then was leaving the mixing room to go to break. He noticed coworkers having problems with the batch coming out of the batch off cooler so he went over to help them. When he got there he noticed the batch was jamming up under the pinch roller on the conveyer. They stopped the conveyer and employee grabbed the razor knife to cut out the jammed up rubber but didn 't go back to the mill to get his Kevlar gloves. After doing this he had them jog the conveyer. While pulling the rubber out of the cooler with his left hand it came in contact with the razor knife in his right hand. This caused a deep cut on top of his left hand below his index finger and next to his thumb because he was not wearing his Kevlar cut glove.
