At approximately [REDACTED] two maintenance employees were working on the caustic pump feed hose in Raw C[REDACTED] room. During the servicing caustic had splashed in [REDACTED] 's (Injured Person) right eye. [REDACTED] stated they had on eye protection donned; witness report contradicts that statement. After being exposed [REDACTED] was seen rubbing their eye which prompted co-worker to inquire further. [REDACTED] stated they may have gotten caustic in their eye. [REDACTED] 's coworker directed them to rinse eye for 30 minutes per SDS. [REDACTED] ceased rinsing after 5-10 minutes per witness and made their way back to the office. Maintenance supervisor was notified at that point. [REDACTED] was driven to ER for medical attention. [REDACTED] was discharged at [REDACTED] after normal PH readings and given antibiotic for post care treatment.
