free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death
or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to:
a) Bay 3, hydraulic electric lift manufactured by Rotar Lift Division,
Dover Corporation, model SP74B, weight 7,000 pounds. Lift components
were not in a safe operating condition. An automatic mechanical
safety device was malfunctioning on the lift.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to
correct this hazard is to repair the automatic mechanical safety device
to a safe operating condition.
