Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to THE HAZARD OF PRODUCT FALLING FROM THE MACHINERY: a)VMF Department 44, on or about 11/21/2002: An Eagle VMF Finishing Machine, Model # TCR 800, was not guarded in that employees were not protected from rotating clay pugs that routinely fall from the machine. Among other methods, feasible and acceptable methods to correct each of these hazards are to: 1.Install barrier guarding to prevent falling product from striking employees performing routine work.
