Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: (a)F/T Ocean Alaska, refrigeration space electrical Panel H: On or about January 29, 2008 and at times prior thereto, employees were exposed to live electrical equipment energized to 480 volts. Contact with the energized parts would result in significant electrical trauma up to and including electrocution. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct the hazard is to install covers over the energized equipment which are approved for the purpose. Abatement verification and documentation required.tion
