Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards
that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to
employees in that
employees were exposed to the hazard of electrocution:
(a)  On or about December 6, 2005 and at times prior, employees were
exposed to the hazard of electrocution in that the electrical outlets and
switches
were not provided covers in the following areas:
1.  Quick Cool Area. The cover to the electrical wires was loose exposing
live wires.
2.  Maintenance Shop: the outlet box which was supplying power to the clock
in the office was not provided a cover.
3.  Maintenance Shop: the light switch was not provided a cover in the
uniform room of the maintenance shop.
ABATEMENT NOTES: AMONG OTHER METHODS, ONE FEASIBLE AND
ACCEPTABLE METHOD TO CORRECT THIS HAZARD IS TO:
1) Provide electrical faceplates and covers to exposed live wiring of
receptacles.
2) Follow the National Electric Code, NFPA 70-1992 for building utilization
wiring requirements.
Abatement Note:  Abatement certification is not required for this item.
