Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees, in that, employees were exposed to exhaust emissions hazards: Heat Treat Area, Furnace #2: Employees are exposed to exhaust emissions, including carbon monoxide, due to a damaged exhaust stack. Per NFPA 86 Chapter 3-4.3.5 through 3-4.3.8 and Chapter 10-1.1 through 10-4. Abatement: Repair the damaged exhaust stack or replace the exisiting one. SPECIFIC ABATEMENT DOCUMENTAION IS REQUIREDAION
