29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet or more above lower levels was not protected by guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems, nor did the employer demonstrate that it is infeasible or creates a greater hazard to use these systems and develop and implement a fall protection plan which meets the requirements of paragraph (k) of section 1926.502: a) Jobsite: On July 20, 2011 and times prior thereto, employees were exposed to fall hazards ranging from approximately 15 feet to 18 feet while performing sheathing activities on a six in twelve and a eight in twelve pitched roof with out a fall protection system in place. b) Jobsite: On July 20, 2011 and times prior thereto, a window opening which was an estimated 24 inches high, did not have a guard rail system in place. The window opening was used by an employee for access from the roof area into the second floor. c) Jobsite: On July 20, 2011 and times prior thereto, a guard rail system on the second floor was missing a mid rail. Note) Abatement certification IS required for this item.
