29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels is not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system: a) The employer does not ensure that employees use fall protection when exposed to serious fall hazards during wood frame construction activities. This condition was most recently observed at a new home construction site in the Sunny Ridge development on March 12, 2015. Employees performed framing activities on a 5 in 12 pitched roof without a fall protection system in place. This exposed the employees to a 9 and a half feet fall to the concrete and ground below. Committed Framing, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 603360, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on December 10, 2012, with respect to a workplace located on Manship Drive in Meridian, ID. Committed Framing, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 96935, citation number 1, item number 2a and was affirmed as a final order on August 24, 2011, with respect to a workplace located on Lot 6, Block 2 of a development in Eagle, ID.
