29 CFR 1910.242(b): Compressed air used for cleaning. Compressed air shall not be used for cleaning purposes except where reduced to less than 30 p.s.i. and then only with effective chip guarding and personal protective equipment. Maintenance Sq Machine shop: On or about September 6, 2011 and times prior thereto, employees were using a compressed air nozzle operating at 80 psi. This exposed employees to air embolisim and laceration hazards from the nozzle contacting their skin.

29 CFR 1910.305(b)(1)(ii): Unused openings in cabinets, boxes, and fittings shall be effectively closed. Maintenance Squardon Machine shop: On or about September 6, 2011 and times prior thereto, a 120 volt 15 amp breaker receptacle box had a knock-out missing. This exposed employees to electric shock hazards if they were to contact the open wires.
