29 CFR 1910.37(b)(4): If the direction of travel to the exit or exit discharge is not immediately apparent, signs must be posted along the exit access indicating the direction of travel to the nearest exit and exit discharge. Additionally, the line-of-sight to an exit sign must clearly be visible at all times. In the warehouse, material stored approximately 20 feet in height obstructed the line of sight of exits which were not visible and the employer had no addtional signs posted to direct employees to the nearest exit.

29 CFR 1910.176(b): Secure storage. Storage of material shall not create a hazard. Bags, containers, bundles, etc., storedin tiers shall be stacked, blocked, interlocked and limited in height so that they are stable and secure against sliding or collapse. In the warehouse, boxes of diapers stacked up to approximately 20 feet in height that were strink wrapped were not limited in height to promote stability and secured from collapse in that the lower boxes were bursting which created instability for the entire column.
