29 CFR 1910.303(b)(7)(iv): There shall be no damaged parts that may adversely affect safe operation or mechanical strength of the equipment, such as parts that are broken, bent, cut, or deteriorated by corrosion, chemical action, or overheating. a. Shore Power Area - On or about February 7, 2012, employees were required to work with and operate refrigerated containers near pin and sleeve receptacle outlets with exposed wires (460 Volts). Employees were thereby exposed to the electrical hazards associated with live parts.
