29 CFR 1910.212(a)(3)(ii): The point of operation of machines whose operation exposes an employee to injury, shall be guarded. The guarding device shall be in conformity with any appropriate standards therefore, or, in the absence of applicable specific standards, shall be so designed and constructed as to prevent the operator from having any part of his body in the danger zone during the operating cycle. a/ ComfortFit Orthotic Labs, Inc., Roselle, NJ: The employer did not provide guards and/or other means of machine guarding methods to protect employees from hazards created by moving parts. Equipment to include but not limited to: 1) Delta 14" Band Saw Model 28-203, Serial#98C94864: Exposed blade was not guarded. Condition Observed on/or about 5/9/12.
