29 CFR 1926.760(a)(1): Except as provided by paragraph (a)(3) of this section, each employee engaged in a steel erection activity who was on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge more than 15 feet (4.6 m) above a lower level was not protected from fall hazards by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, positioning device systems or fall restraint systems: a) Job site, 2600 East Carson Street, Pittsburgh, PA: On or about August 15, 2012, during steel erection activities, the employer did not ensure that fall protection systems/devices were used. Employees were moving sheets of metal decking from one area of an existing roof to another location of the existing roof and had no fall protection in use where exposed to falls of up to approximately 18 feet. G. KIDD, INC., WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD, OR IT'S EQUIVALENT STANDARD, 29 CFR 1926.760(a)(1), WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 310294319, CITATION 1, ITEM 6, AND WAS AFFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON OCTOBER 15, 2007, WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT 125 EMERYVILLE DRIVE, CRANBERRY, PENNSYLVANIA.
