29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): (a) NOTE TO CSHO: USE THIS OPTION ONLY IN CASES WHERE THE INFEASIBILITY/GREATER HAZARD EXCEPTION IS NOT IN ISSUE. a) Jobsite-1800 Ginnodo Street - Employees installing planks and sheathing were exposed to fall hazards of approximately thirteen (13) feet without the use of conventional or alternative methods of fall protection, on or about 8/15/12.

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer shall provide a training program for each employee who might be exposed to fall hazards. The program shall enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and shall train each employee in the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards. Jobsite -1800 Ginnodo Street -The employer did not train the employees in the recognition or the proper procedures to avoid this hazard. Observed on or about 8/15/12. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
